At BeClimate Hub, we’re building a vibrant community of change-makers – a place where visionaries, experts, and entrepreneurs come together to shape impactful solutions for climate and biodiversity. In a time when scientific reports like those from the IPCC highlight the urgent need for action, and the targets set by the Paris Agreement and NetZero goals are quickly slipping out of reach, we believe that every effort counts. The transition to a sustainable future requires accelerated innovation, and that’s where we come in.

Here, collaboration is at the heart of everything we do, creating an environment where shared goals and collective passion turn bold ideas into action. Our community thrives under one roof in Brussels, in Belgium’s largest dedicated climate and biodiversity co-working space. With 280 workspaces and over 20 member organisations, BeClimate Hub is more than a workplace, it’s a dynamic ecosystem built for co-creation, connection, and support.

Led by a motivated team committed to accelerating the transition, we’re excited to continue expanding our impact, supporting our members’ growth, and driving meaningful solutions to address the climate and biodiversity crises.

By supporting startups involved in Climate and Biodiversity working in five key areas:

We provide them access to resources that help them scale their impact and overcome three critical challenges startups face.

Cross-Pollination

We’re all about breaking silos down!
By connecting people and ideas across the different startups, but also the entire ecosystem – corporates, academics, governments, and more – we spark knowledge-sharing, fuel co-creation, and build a network where collaboration and big ideas thrive to accelerate the transition.

Funding Access

We provide essential support to help members secure the funding they need. From networking opportunities and pitching events with investors to guidance on grant applications, BeClimate Hub aims to help climate startups gain visibility and credibility, boosting their journey towards impact.

In Climate and Biodiversity

The BeClimate Hub mapping proudly showcases the companies driving change in Belgium’s climate startup ecosystem. It includes:

Core Solution Providers: Startups scaling solutions that directly contribute to reducing or capturing GHG emissions, preserve or restore biodiversity or reduce pollution. We are talking about sustainable food, energy, construction, climate tech and transport.
Change Enablers: These startups support others to enable them to reduce emissions, preserve biodiversity, or cut pollution through circular economy, sustainable value chains, and resource sharing

To appear on the map, companies must:

Contribute directly or indirectly to reducing greenhouse gas emissions, preserving biodiversity, or cutting pollution.
Show innovation by scaling a solution, improving existing ones, or developing new approaches.
Startup Status:
- For-profit, pre-revenue or employing fewer than 100 FTEs.
- Less than 10 years old.
- Not publicly listed.
Belgian Activity: A Belgian company with significant operations impacting Belgium and, potentially, abroad.
Financial Stability: Sufficient resources to independently support business growth and operations.
